TIME is running out to enter the Bridport Prize writing competition with the deadline less than a month away.

The Bridport Prize is the richest open writing competition in the English language with a £5,000 first prize for a short story and a £5,000 first prize for a poem, plus £1,000 first prize for flash fiction.

Entries must be in by May 31 and anyone can enter so long as the work is previously unpublished. It costs £8 per story, £7 per poem or £6 per flash fiction.
