TWO ‘massive’ Poole Town FC fans have completed a gruelling three-day cycle tour of southern football club grounds before finishing at Wembley stadium.
Paul Chapman and Tony Jacobs have pedalled around 200 miles and joined supporters for England’s last game ahead of the European championships against Belgium.
England kick off their European championship campaign against France on Monday.
Paul, 40, from Bournemouth, and Tony, 37, from Blandford took on the challenge to raise awareness of Poole Town FC and boost the club’s coffers.
All monies raised – around £1,000 so far – will be split between the club and its official charity Wessex Cancer Trust.
They started from Poole Town’s Tatnam ground on May 31 and visited Bournemouth’s Dean Court, Bashley FC, Gosport, Sholing, Premiership newcomers Southampton and Pompey’s Fratton Park on day one.
Other grounds have included Crawley Town, Brighton and Arsenal.
Paul, 40, said: “We racked up the miles. I was born and bred in Poole – it is all about supporting your local team.”
