A RENEWED appeal is being made to find a woman who was involved in a collision with a cyclist in Dorchester.

Police said the woman, who was driving a silver-grey car with a sliding door, stopped to help the cyclist and took him to hospital following an incident in Damers Road last Wednesday afternoon.

The cyclist, a 59-year-old Dorchester man, did not think he was badly hurt and didn’t take the driver’s details.

It has now emerged the cyclist suffered a serious elbow injury.

PC Gemma Nowell-Smith said: “Following medical assessments he is now going to have a serious operation on his arm.

“I am appealing for the driver of the silver-grey car to come forward.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident as I believe that there were a lot of witnesses around at the time.”

Call Dorset Police on 101 quoting incident number 13:283.
