KATIE Price says she is ‘really excited’ about her coming visit to Weymouth.

Former glamour girl Katie spoke of her plans in an exclusive interview with the Dorset Echo ahead of her new book tour.

She is also throwing her weight behind the Echo-backed charity, the Will Mackaness Trust, by donating signed goods for our fundraising raffle.

From her new book launch to her recently announced engagement to Leandro Penna, Katie said she has never been happier.

The 34-year-old, previously known as Jordan, will be signing copies of her new book, In The Name of Love, at WH Smith in St Mary Street on Saturday, June 30 at 2.30pm.

She said she hoped all of her local fans would be making an appearance.

She added: “I’ve done more than 40 books now and this is my eighth novel.

“This book was special because it’s the first time I’ve written something that includes my passion for horse riding.

“It’s weird because every time I write a book it comes true, this novel was complete well before I had even met Leandro or suffered a horrific horse riding accident this time last year.”

The novel sees feisty sports presenter Charlie meet Felipe Castillo who happens to be related to the Spanish Royal family.

The book traces their relationship focusing on passion, heartbreak, horse riding, royalty and a dark past.

Katie, who shot to fame as a page three glamour model in 1996, added: “I get excited about every book I write, I really love doing it.

“The book tour will be amazing I’m really excited about coming to Weymouth, I’ve never been before.”

The mum-of-three continues to glean national attention as a businesswoman, TV personality, model and a horse rider, not to forget a series of highly publicised relationships.

She said: “The kids are great and happy. My life is fantastic at the moment, I’ve never been happier.

“I’m engaged, we have a new house and everything is going well. “ Her children Harvey, 10, Junior, seven, and Princess, five, no longer appear on her TV show Katie which is now airing on Sky Living.

She added: “The kids don’t appear on my show anymore so if people want to see them they will have to watch their dad’s show.”

Katie is now facing her second divorce from cage fighter Alex Reid after her marriage to Peter Andre, father to her children Junior and Princess and adoptive father to Harvey, broke down in 2009.

When asked about her future with Argentinean Leandro, 27, she said no plans could be made as she was not yet divorced.

Not only is Katie clearly content, but she also has no intention of slowing down.

She added: “I’m going to keep doing what I’m doing. I’ve got the swimwear and equestrian ranges still going on and I’m working on my next autobiography at the moment.”

She will also be appearing at WH Smith, Towngate Shopping Centre in Poole at 12pm on Saturday, June 30.
