A MAN has died in an accident on the A35 at Bloxworth.
Emergency services were scrambled at 3am on Saturday, following the fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a cream-coloured coach.
The road was closed between Morden Park Corner and Woodbury Cross. Diversions were set up on the A31 and B3075.
The A35 re-opened around 10am. Next of kin have yet to be informed.
The Echo understands the victim, who suffered head injuries, had been socialising in Poole town centre and then caught a taxi to the Bakers Arms roundabout. He then began walking in the direction of Bere Regis.
Witnesses to the incident itself or anyone who saw the pedestrian or coach on this section of the A35 at this time are asked to contact PC 2160 Edge of Western Traffic Unit on 01305 222222.
