Thieves have been stealing flowers from the streets of Dorchester.
Two hanging baskets in High West Street have been stolen from over the past two weeks.
The flowers were funded by the BID (Businesses Improvement District).
BID Director Phil Gordan said a number of flagpoles also funded by the group had also been tampered with.
He said: “The flagpoles that were funded by us had little stickers on them acknowledging this.
“Dozens of them have been ripped off – I’m just baffled as to why anyone would do this.
“It’s effectively stealing the chance for the businesses to get recognition for their contribution.
“We are asking members of the public to be vigilant.
