A TEENAGER has been warned he could face jail after admitting attacking a woman with a hammer.

Stefan Fry, 18, previously of Fox Close, Bridport, admitted carrying out the assault against Gemma Thompson when he appeared before Dorchester Crown Court.

The court was told he attacked Miss Thompson from behind, hitting her twice on the back of the head with a hammer in Langdon Hill car park, Bridport, on February 22.

The defendant had previously pleaded guilty to another assault against Maria Clark in Dorchester on December 15 last year.

Judge Roger Jarvis told Fry: “These are very serious matters. I will make my mind up when I have seen a psychiatric report and pre-sentence report.”

Fry was remanded in custody and will be sentenced on August 15 for two charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and two charges of possessing an offensive weapon.
