YOUNG professionals are being offered the chance to visit Turkey to expand their cultural and vocational horizons.

Rotary clubs in Dorchester and Weymouth are looking for suitable candidates to be nominated for the Group Study Exchange for the four week trip in September.

People aged 25 to 40 from the Dorchester, Weymouth and Bridport areas are invited to apply. They must have been in employment for a period of at least two years.

The tour will centre upon Izmir and the team of four will be seeing many aspects of the country, from Turkish culture to its communities, professions and attitudes.

They will get the chance to visit workplaces related to their own industry as a fact-finding mission.

The Rotarian leader is Charlotte Seymour-Smith from the Rotary Club of Dorchester. Team members will give presentations whilst in Turkey based on their UK backgrounds and will give further presentations to clubs throughout the Rotary District 1200 on their return.

A return team from Turkey will visit the UK in March/April 2013.

Anyone interested in applying should contact Rotary District 1200 Foundation chairman Brian Hellin by emailing bmh004@gmail.com Applications should be sent promptly because the selection process will begin shortly.
