A MAN was taken to hospital with facial injuries after a small explosion on the Granby Industrial Estate in Weymouth.
The incident happened at Dunnings Automatics in Kent Close at around noon yesterday.
Dorset Police, Dorset Fire and Rescue Service and South Western Ambulance attended. Firefighters were stood down when they found their assistance wasn’t required.
It is believed that the incident involved the air conditioning unit of a car and a gas cylinder, with the front of the car being damaged. A spokesman for South Western Ambulance said: “A man was taken to Dorset County Hospital with minor facial injuries. A rapid response vehicle and an ambulance attended.”
Speaking of the injured man, a member of staff at the garage said: “He was taken to hospital for a check-up.
“He was talking and laughing as they took him, so he should be okay.”
