AN EVENING coach trip on which passengers can relax after all the excitement of the Olympics has been set up by Community 2000 on Portland for Friday, August 31.
The trip is to the Great Dorset Steam Fair and the coach will leave Portland at 4pm, picking up en route in Wyke and Weymouth, to arrive at the Fair at 5pm when evening entry begins and will leave after the last act on the outdoor stage at 11.45pm.
C2000 co-ordinator Wilma Butler said: “I believe that this evening outing from the island to the Steam Fair was a tradition in the past and we at C2000 would like to revive it.”
