A RIDE and Stride event will see visitors taking in the history and architecture of churches all over Dorset.
It is a sponsored event challenging bike riders and walkers to visit as many churches as they can.
Some churches which don’t open regularly will be welcoming visitors especially for the event.
One of the churches opening its doors is the tiny pre-Reformation Corton chapel near Portesham .
All churches will be offering refreshments to the riders and striders as well as an inside look into their history.
The event will take place on Saturday September 8 and is organised to raise money for the National Churches Trust.
Last year, £58,288 was raised for the cause.
