RESIDENTS will get the chance to have their say on changes to a level crossing near Wareham.

Network Rail and Dorset County Council will be holding a drop-in session for members of the public later this month to discuss changes to the East Stoke level crossing.

Representatives from Network Rail, Dorset County Council and Signaling Solutions, Network Rail’s appointed signaling contractor for the project, will be present to discuss the changes to the crossing and answer any questions.

A spokesman for Network Rail said: “The upgrade will form part of the Poole to Wool re-signaling programme which will replace old signaling equipment to ensure the railway continues to be safe and reliable.”

The session will take place between 10am and 8pm on Thursday, September 20 at the Freshwater Biological Association, River Laboratory, East Stoke.
