VOLUNTEERS are needed to join a new fundraising group in Dorchester .
Oxfam is looking for people in the county town who are able to help with anything from marketing events to counting cash.
The charity hopes to use people’s skills to start a new group who organise regular events.
Joanna Hulin, Oxfam’s community fundraising manager, said: “The strong community spirit and the enthusiasm which the town takes on social issues makes Dorchester the perfect location for Oxfam’s fundraising work.
“The group’s fundraising activities can be anything and everything. It can range from simple cake sales and collecting money to elaborate dinners.”
Anyone interested in joining the group can attend an information evening at Potters Cafe on Durngate Street on Tuesday at 11am. For more information, call 07795343605 or email jhulin@oxfam.org.uk
