A SPOKESMAN for First Bus admitted the company were ‘aware of the issues’.

She said: “We are aware of the issues and the impact this has had on our customers.

“Our team is working incredibly hard to resolve the problems for the benefit of everyone. “We have drafted in some additional resources, including additional vehicles, extra drivers and more engineers and collectively this will improve the level of service provision. “We will implement the necessary changes to our processes as swiftly as we are able to do so.”

She added: “We would like to offer our sincere apologies to Jackie Isbell and any of our other customers who have been inconvenienced recently.

We will be happy to contact the school to provide details of where our reliability has contributed to students being late for school should Mrs Isbell wish us to do this.”
