A LARGE amount of hay was destroyed in an accidental fire on a west Dorset farm last night.
Dorset Fire and Rescue Service said about 30 tonnes of hay as well as a hay baler were involved in the blaze at Hogleaze Farm, near Compton Valence.
Firefighters from Dorchester were alerted at just before 6.50pm last night.
The cause of the fire was said to be internal combustion of the hay.
