ARSONISTS destroyed farm machinery and more than 10 tonnes of hay near Sherborne last night.
The fire service was called out yesterday evening and found three fires had been started at the site near Quarr Nature Reserve, Quarr Lane.
The flames were allowed to burn out under supervision and the crew was on scene for more than three hours to monitor the safety of the fires.
One tractor, a bailer and 10 to 15 tonnes of hay were destroyed in the blaze, which had been started deliberately.
