CAMP Bestival will be journeying back in time to the 1980s with Heaven 17, The Proclaimers and Nik Kershaw added to this year's line-up.

The Lulworth Castle family festival, which will take place August 1 to 4, will also see The Cuban Brother, Barry Peters and special guests performing live.

DJ sets from Craig Charles and DJ Dapper Dan will keep everyone dancing at the event.

Camp Bestival organiser and Radio One DJ Rob da Bank said: “As a child of the 80s, I love that era.

“One-hit-wonders sit happily alongside some of the most visionary pop and electronic records ever made in my record collection.

“Heaven 17 fall into that latter category and still kill it wherever they go, so I can’t wait to see and more importantly hear them at Camp Bestival.

“The Proclaimers are an incredible festival act for a good old sing-along and Nik Kershaw is a boyhood idol too.

Wrap it all up with Barry Peters and his Cuban Brother friends hosting an 80s night each day and it’s time for some serious leg-warmers, rah-rah skirts and fingerless lace glove action.”

Nik Kershaw said: “I am delighted to be playing Camp Bestival this year alongside an amazing line up of artists from across the genres.

“It’s going to be a lot of fun and I look forward to seeing you there.”

The Proclaimers said: “We are looking forward immensely to our first appearance at Camp Bestival and enjoying first-hand this unique event”
