THINGS are about to get tasty- a collection of some the UK's best chefs is heading to Dorset.

The Feast Collective is back at Camp Bestival- taking place between July 30 and August 2 at Lulworth Castle.

Food has always been a leading light in the Camp Bestival line-up and with this year’s selection of artisan food producers, speciality chefs and street food gurus, plus a pop-up supper club and food demonstrations, it looks set to be the tastiest festival yet.

This year’s Feast Collective ambassadors line-up includes chef, restaurateur, Sunday Times Cookbook of the Year author and music producer Martin Morales, who said: “Everyone can start small, and organic growth is the best way forward for a new food or drinks idea. That way can you experiment, gain fans and feel success in short but beautiful bursts.

"The Feast Collective aims to do just that, and I am very proud to be able to help and support them. By giving the opportunity to a carefully chosen group of food and drinks rising stars, everyone can enjoy this special moment created by independent, passionate, visionary and dynamic chefs and drinks people who are just starting out.”

Steve Lamb, author of the River Cottage Curing and Smoking Handbook, will also be there.

He said: “I am delighted to be invited to attend Camp Bestival this year – in its own right that would be enough. River Cottage and Camp Bestival have been buddies for some time and it is always a pleasure to immerse oneself in that special atmosphere and location.

"It just so happens that this year I am also going to be playing an ambassadorial role. I will be amongst the elite squad of the Feast Collective chatting, filming and enjoying their extraordinary culinary talent.

"Rob, Josie and their team have always sought out the best for its festival audience and this year they have a brilliant line-up both in terms of performers and suppliers.

"Everyone knows that River Cottage champions all that is good about food and it is a pleasure to be amongst some of the best of the bunch with the Feast Collective. As ever I will be with my young family because there is no better festival to take them to where they will enjoy the best of the best.

"I hope, in my ambassadorial role this year to support and point the spotlight on some great emerging food talent and that by association, some of the cool and creativity will rub off and that my kids will see me in a whole new light.”

Children's food ambassador, BBC Cook of the Year Jo Ingleby, said: “Food is the best way to bring families and friends together and this year's Camp Bestival promises to be full of exciting eating experiences for everyone."

Taking charge is Camp Bestival favourite Christian Stevenson, also known as Dj BBQ who will be hosting the collective this year. A Jamie Oliver FoodTube presenters and a cracking DJ to boot, Christian will be on hand to give you the Feast Collective low down, and to serenade your supper, too.

There will be Biblos, where the Middle East meets the Caribbean, multi-award-winning family company The Cake Shop Bakery, artisan beverage makers Caravan Coffee, and winners of Best Sandwich at the British Street Food Awards 2014, The Cauldron. East Asian meets British cuisine from West Dorset’s Dorshi, there will be sushi from Happy Maki, wine tasting with the Knackered Mother’s Wine Club, and authentic Korean BBQ in Burritos from Korrito.
