A POUNDBURY couple threw a big party to celebrate their big day.
Sarah Downing, 27, and Ashley Warr, 26, got married at St George’s Church at Fordington.
The couple chose the church as Ashley grew up around the St George’s Road area in Dorchester.
The reception was held at the Corn Exchange, with a sit down meal upstairs for close friends and family and then a disco and a huge party downstairs in the evening for more than 150 guests.
The couple had their first dance together to ‘Stick With You’ by the Pussycat Dolls.
For the evening buffet the couple had bacon rolls, hot dogs, and pick and mix, which was particularly popular with all the children.
The couple met eight years ago, when they both worked at the House of Dorchester chocolate company. Ashley proposed on their fifth anniversary.
The happy couple went on honeymoon to Menorca for two weeks.
Sarah said: “Thank you to everyone for coming and celebrating and sharing our special day with us.”
