DORSET girl Ellie Hogger headed to the sands of the Caribbean to tie the knot with fiancé Lee Hawkes.
The couple were married in a ceremony on the beach in the beautiful sun-kissed island of St Lucia.
Teacher Ellie, 31, who is originally from Briantspuddle and now lives with Lee in Ware in Hertfordshire, said: “We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting.”
Husband Lee, 33, who works as a module leader at a London university, added: “This was definitely the way to do it.”
The well travelled couple first met in Seville in Spain, where Ellie was teaching English to Spanish students.
They got engaged in February last year when Lee proposed on a romantic weekend visit to Leeds Castle in Kent.
Ellie and her new husband returned to Dorset after the wedding and honeymoon to celebrate with friends and family at the family home in Briantspuddle. She said: “Celebrating with the people we love makes it all real! Thanks to everyone – especially mum!”
