IT’S a brother and sister double act after the birth of Isla Marie.
Upwey family Rob Golsby, 21, and Amber Thorn, 22, welcomed Isla Marie Golsby into their lives on December 15, at Dorset County Hospital.
She has a big brother, Alfie, who is 16 months, and the couple say it’s lovely, and often hilarious, to watch them together.
Proud dad Rob said: “He gets a little bit jealous but he’s mostly just protective of her – he’s very good with her.”
He added: “She’s just started smiling, at Alfie mostly.
“She will be lying down and he comes up and she smiles at him, and he has a giggle because she’s smiling.
“It’s really nice to watch them together.”
Alfie has been trying to help out and be nice to his little sister by giving her, her dummy. Although he sometimes gets it a little wrong and the dummy ends up closer to her nose or ear.
Isla Marie is eating and sleeping well and both mum and baby are doing really well.
The couple would like to thank all their family and friends for their support and the midwife team at the hospital.
They would like to give a special thank you to Rob’s mum and dad – Jenny and Mark – and his siblings, Josh and Aisha, and Amber’s mum and dad – Malcolm and Linda – and her sisters, Fionasue and Sapphire, as well as their grandparents – George and Shelia Dyer and Janet and Brian Newman.
