A YOUNG Dorset wedding and events coordinator has been given an award.

Danielle Moors was presented with the Pro Education Apprentice of the Year award at the recent Kingston Maurward Awards evening.

The event aims to celebrate the success of apprentices across all subject area.

Weddings and events apprentice Miss Moors, also received the Intermediate Retail and Customer Service award sponsored by Medisave.

Danielle said: “It was such a surprise to hear that I’d won – I’m so pleased. I really enjoy my apprenticeship and it has taught me such a lot in the last year. I really want to progress on to the Advanced Apprenticeship.”

Manager Darlene Reid said: “I am delighted and extremely proud of Danielle and the hospitality team who have worked with her over the last year to help her achieve her results. “She had some tough competition but thoroughly deserved to win. She is a hard working, dedicated member of the team. We have seen her grow in confidence and develop in her role, and this award recognises this.

“The apprenticeship has been mutually beneficial both for Danielle and the whole department.”
