A DORSET couple celebrated 49 years together.
Happy couple Mike and Mary Hayes celebrated their wedding anniversary on March 19, surrounded by their friends and family.
Friends said it was an ‘eyes across the room, love at first sight’ when the two first met.
Before the couple retired they ran the Wooden Heart Company in Weymouth. The couple have three children, Amanda, Steven and Stuart, and 10 grandchildren, Jess, Emily, Imogen, Ethan, Kurtis, Millie, Kiera, Isabela, Harrie, Alfie and not forgetting three great grandchildren, Lola, Sonny and Emrys.
The family threw a surprise party at the Coach and Horses Pub. The family said: “Congratulations Mary and Mike on your wedding anniversary. Lots of love from all the family – we hope you had a wonderful day.”
