SHANE MICHAEL EVANS, aged 24, of Buckland Newton. Admitted driving a vehicle on the Weymouth Relief Road otherwise than in accordance with a licence. No separate penalty. Also admitted using a vehicle without third party insurance. Fined £180 and ordered to pay £35 costs. Licence endorsed with eight penalty points.

PENELOPE JANE WESSEL, aged 67, of Winniford Close, Chideock. Admitted driving a Nissan Micra motor vehicle in The Street, Charmouth, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in breath was 97 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. Also admitted driving the same vehicle on the A35 at Chideock on a different day after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in her breath was 67 micrograms in 100 millilitres of breath. Ordered to pay two lots of costs of £85 and fined £145. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 36 months.

MARTIN HARRIMAN, aged 50, of Home Farm Way, Shipton Gorge. Admitted driving a BMW motor vehicle in Dorchester on the A35 road, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in breath was 124 micrograms in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms in 100 millilitres of breath. Fined £3,700 and ordered to pay costs of £85.

KATHERINE ANNE LINGS, aged 25, of Barrack Street, Bridport. Admitted stealing a woman’s gift set worth £44.43 and then next day stealing a men’s gift set worth £36 from the Co-operative Pharmacy in East Street, Bridport and admitted a further charge of stealing seven bottles of perfume worth £305 from Boots Stores Ltd, Bridport. Also admitted failing to surrender to police custody and committing further offences while subject to a six-month conditional discharge for an offence of stealing clothing worth £50 from M and Co stores, Bridport. Committed to prison for four weeks.
