PORTLAND students were recognised for their achievements during an awards evening.
Parents and staff watched as 170 students from IPACA’s Royal Manor Campus received certificates and trophies in recognition of their effort and achievement.
John Tizard, IPACA’s Chair of Governors, presented the awards, and gave a speech.
Among those receiving awards were the volleyball team, pictured right, who got the Key Stage 4 Team Work Award. Their enthusiasm for the sport saw them entered into the Weymouth Volleyball League.
The Year 9 Student of the Year award went to Jessica Smith, in recognition of her hard work, high standards and positive representation of IPACA in the community through dance.
Principal, Alison Appleyard, said: “All of our students and staff have worked incredibly hard and it is a great pleasure to celebrate their achievement with their families and friends.”
