PUPILS from Wareham St Mary Primary School had an enjoyable day messing about on the river.
The Year Five youngsters went kayaking on the River Frome.
Matt and Julie Jones, the owners of Wareham Boat Hire, invited the pupils to tailored tuition and activities according to the children’s abilities.
The day was a huge success, with all the children and adults learning new skills.
Jamie, aged 10, said: “It was brilliant and I’m going to do it again.”
Callum, aged 10, said: “I can’t wait to go to Sunday Club, so I can do it again. “I loved it.”
Millie, aged 10, said: “I really enjoyed my kayaking experience – I can’t wait to do it again.”
Teacher Chanetelle Wyss said: “Although Mrs Morgan and I were very apprehensive about kayaking, Julie and Matt were very encouraging and eventually got us in a double kayak. We were having so much fun that they had a job getting us to come back to shore.”
