POWER was in the hands of the pupils as Sunninghill Preparatory School in Dorchester held a takeover day.
Children got to see what life at the school was like from an adult point of view as they took on the roles of staff for a day.
The initiative involved youngsters from Pupil Voice, a group of children chosen as representative from each form group who meet once a week to talk about the school from a pupil’s perspective.
They got to take on roles such as headmaster, deputy head, chef, secretary and various teacher roles such as head of geography.
The event helped give the pupils an insight into careers they could choose to do when they are older.
