JACK Sansom of Portland got in touch with Looking Back to say that he remembers Harry Parsons of the Portland Territorial Army.
Last week’s Looking Back featured Harry’s daughter June Fish, who shared the story of her dad helping to liberate Guernsey while he was in the TA and salvaging the swastika flag from the German headquarters in St Peter Port.
The flag has remained a keepsake for June, who lives in Chickerell.
Jack said: “I remember Harry who lived quite close to where I lived on Portland.
“He worked at the Conservative Club, he was there before the war and I remember him being back there after the war.”
