Looking Back: Annie Bull meets Michael Parkinson at a celebrity lunch at Pullingers
AFTER featuring Broadway star Elaine Stritch at a celebrity lunch at Pullingers restaurant in Weymouth, Looking Back reader Annie Bull got in touch to share this photo.
It is of Annie meeting Michael Parkinson, another celebrity diner at Pullingers, in 1978. Annie was 37 at the time.
She said: "Pullingers was really the place to go in those days...greatly missed by many me thinks.
"My immediate thinking at the time, talking with Michael Parkinson, I remember well, it was how much younger he looked in the flesh.
"He was delightful to talk to, quite a natural and easy going guy. I also attended the lunch with Elaine Strich/Stritch which was also so enjoyable."
