WE published this old postcard last week and asked - whose funeral was it?
Well, we may have the answer thanks to an email from Gary and Mandy Tippett.
The military funeral was held on Portland with much pomp and circumstance and in the background of the photo, taken in Victoria Square, you can see the old railway station.
Gary and Mandy think the funeral photographed is that of Captain Lano and took place on March 14 1908.
Gary said: "Apparently he was a bit of a hero, winning medals and surviving wars, came home and caught some disease or illness which killed him."
Any more information on Captain Lano will be very much appreciated!
