Once again I have a moan coming on with reference to shared footpaths and cycle paths.
Unfortunately, people with dogs or children or just walking by themselves are no longer able to walk in safety through the Rodwell Trail bird reserve.
I don’t know if the local authortity have to provide a certain quota of cycle paths, but to share a footpath with bends and a width of 0.5 metres in places is sheer madness.
These pushbikes come past you at around 25mph with total disregard for pushchairs or children.
They think a ring of bell entitles them to have right of way.
This council needs to widen and mark this path or ban cyclist from this route before somone gets hurt or worse.
On top of this, through Southill the footpaths seem to have been adopted as cycle paths.
Please listen to people for once and act on these dangerous issues.
