FAMILIES enjoyed a traditional day out when the 50th annual St George's Day Fair was held on Fordington village green.
Fine weather ensured a ealthy turnout as people enjoyed a host of entertainment on offer.
The Rev Richard Betts of St George's Church, Fordington, said: "Historically there had always been a fair on the green but it was officially resurrected in 1958 so this is now the 50th anniversary of the fair.
"There are all sorts of stalls, competitions and refreshments, as well as fun and games for the kids. We've also had musical entertainment, with the Durnovaria Silver Band and two school choirs."
All the proceeds from the fair go towards the church and Mr Betts paid tribute to the organising committee for their hard work in laying on the event.
