A MUSICAL journey without borders is coming to Dorchester as part of its One World Festival.

The county town is welcoming Addictive TV with their project Orchestra of Samples.

Electronic duo Addictive TV recorded musicians around the world from Brazil, Senegal, China to Kazakhstan and have fused it together to show that music binds us all.

The group have spent the last five years filming improvised sessions with more than 200 artists playing all manner of instruments in more than 25 countries, from singers in Bhutan to musicians playing bagpipes made from whole goats, via Stereolab singer Laetitia Sadier, and Motörhead’s original drummer Lucas Fox.

After their travels, Addictive TV created a unique archive to sample from.

They then produced visual music, fusing all manner of instruments and styles, creating a digital supergroup of international artists who never met but play together on screen.

The duo have won international acclaim for the project described as “a glimpse into the very essence of music” by Cultured Vultures and “ingenious and compelling” by The Times. The result is a digital supergroup of international artists who never met, but play as one on-screen.

Performing live with Addictive TV on ‘Orchestra of Samples’ will be Dorchester-based percussionist Glyn 'Bigga' Bush, so join them on this unique musical journey without borders!
