ANARCHIC comedy tour de force Wes Zahurak will headline the Pilot Boat Inn Comedy Club in Lyme Regis next week.

The hugely popular comedy club, which has so far featured TV stars such as Angela Barnes and Paul Tonkinson, returns in May and audiences are advised to book early with tickets likely to sell out quickly.

This month's headline act will be the brilliantly funny Wes Zahurak, an act who has to be seen to be believed. Likened to 'Tommy Cooper on acid', Canadian Wes Zahurak puts on a completely unique show of physical comedy which makes him one of the most exciting acts on the UK and international circuit.

Having begun his comedy life in North America, becoming an audience favourite on the immensely popular TV show ABC’s America’s Funniest People thanks to his eccentric array of eye-popping prop tricks, Zahurak is now an award-winning comedian with a world-wide reputation for his fast-paced surreal humour.

Opening the show will be another TV regular, and Frank Skinner’s support act, Gareth Richards. Known for his quirky blend of stand-up, one-liners and low-key comedy songs Gareth Richards is one of the best loved acts on the comedy circuit and a former Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nominee.

As well as supporting Frank Skinner on tour, Richards also co-hosted a Sony award-winning Absolute Radio show for two years alongside him. As well as appearing in his own right on shows such as Russell Howard’s Good News and Live at the Electric.

Completing the line up will be local acts Graham Whistler and Adam Money, both Edinburgh fringe festival regulars with a growing reputation on the UK circuit.

Resident compere Tom Glover will once again be at the helm for the night, chatting with the club's regular crowd and getting to know all the newcomers.
