FANCY a nostalgia trip of a comedy, in a pre mobile phone world featuring pink shrimps and 90s hits?
Nineties feast Half the World Away will be available for theatregoers to enjoy on Friday, February 9 at 8pm.
Foursquare Theatre are heading back to 1997 to a rural village where a drama is unfolding. While the rest of the village is in a frenzy and the country is gripped by New Labour/Princess Diana/Teletubbies fever, our unlikely hero is spending her summer trapped behind the counter in Keith's Country Stores.
Creativity and the absurd collide in this warm, funny, quirky show that is packed full of 90s hits from Nirvana, Elastica, Blur, Oasis and No Doubt.
If you've ever felt stuck, had a very best friend or lived in the middle of nowhere, this one is for you.
Lisa Wilcock, marketing manager, said: “This is going to be a very funny evening, packed with 90s music and absurd humour. If you grew up in a village you’ll definitely relate to this show”
*Half the World Away, Bridport Arts Centre, Friday, February 9, 8pm. Call the box office for tickets.
