WEYMOUTH hoteliers have kindly donated to the Dorset Echo Christmas Toy Appeal.

The Weymouth Hoteliers, Guesthouses and Leaseholders Association (WHGLA) have given £100 to the appeal.

Last year local businesses and groups helped to raise almost £4,500 to spend on gifts for underprivileged children in Dorset, and this year we hope to raise more.

The WHGLA has been supporting the appeal for the last three years and chairman Dave Price said: “We always like to support a worthy cause when we can and as this is aimed at Children who are less fortunate than ourselves it is even more poignant; everyone deserves to have a good time at Christmas.

“I think it is great for the local paper to support such a worthwhile cause and everyone should support this if they can, to make sure that everyone gets a special something, however large or small, at Christmas.”

n How to donate: We are looking for 30 businesses to donate £100 each for our appeal.

This has been amazingly successful in previous years and has been the main way that the toy appeal has been able to provide so many toys and gifts to needy children. Each donation is gratefully received and all those donating £100 will be featured in the Echo.
