Two people have been injured in a crash in Weymouth.
The ambulance, police and fire services were called at 3.26pm to King Street in Weymouth to a single vehicle collision.
It is believed the car, a purple Citroen C4, registered to an address in Weymouth, collided with traffic lights at the cross roads off of Radipole Park Drive near Swannery Bridge.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said they were on the scene and there was one male casualty and one female casualty with chest pain.
One eye witness described traffic following the crash as ‘manic’ following the crash with motorists delayed and buses having to be diverted.
Traffic was backing up along King Street on to The Esplanade following this incident with police directing traffic at the junction.
Both casualties have now been taken to Dorset County Hospital.
