Local businesses raised £2,000 to help blind and partially sighted people in Dorset at the Dorset Blind Association Virtual Row event in Bournemouth Square on Friday. The money raised will help to support six local people for a whole year. Business supporters and volunteers as well as those who are visually impaired from around the county stepped up to the challenge which had teams battling to reach the 10,000m goal.
Laura Wardman, Fundraiser from Dorset Blind Association who organised this year's event said: "It was a huge success and we couldn't have done this without our sponsors and volunteers who helped us on the day from Nationwide and Asda, as well as our regular volunteers."
