Two people arrested following Weymouth collision
TWO people have been arrested following a collision in Weymouth.
At 8.24pm on Thursday, June 25 Dorset Police was informed of a collision in Coryates near Weymouth. The vehicles involved were a white Ford Transit and a silver Audi A3.
It was reported that the Audi failed to stop at the scene and the occupants then made off on foot. Officers attended and searched the area assisted by the NPAS helicopter.
A 22-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, both from the Weymouth area, were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and driving offences and are helping officers with their enquiries.
