POLICE are urging householders to remain vigilant and review their security after thieves broke into a number of garages in Weymouth.

In the first incident, a garage situated in The Finches, Littlemoor was broken into overnight last Friday, August 21.

Entry was gained to the garage after an unknown tool was used to slip the lock, police said.

Items including a 42-inch flat screen television, a metal detector and a boom box were stolen.

A second garage nearby was also broken into, police have said.

In a third incident at 6.30am on Monday of this week, a garage was broken into on Clearmount Road.

A bike and scooter were stolen but were later recovered further down the road.

Police are now urging people to review their security and remain vigilant.
