GET twitching with excitement – a free beginners’ birdwatching course is back by popular demand.
The RSPB at Radipole Lake in Weymouth and Arne reserve in Purbeck are hosting the popular courses.
The January course is underway but there’s time to sign up for courses starting in February and March running from 10am-noon. Weymouth dates are Feb 2, 9 and 16 or March 1, 8 and 14.
Luke Phillips from the RSPB, said: “The new year is a great time to try something different, which is why we’re kick-starting our ever popular Beginner Birdwatching courses. We cover everything from how to use binoculars and ID books, to learning more about watching birds in many different habitats.”
Weymouth course leader Lindsey Death said it was aimed at beginners looking for a new hobby.
She added: “They offer a great social opportunity to connect with like-minded people.”
