Headteacher to stand trial accused of child sex offences
A HEADTEACHER will stand trial accused of child sex offences.
David Akers, Budmouth College headteacher, pleaded not guilty to historic offences relating to a former pupil when he appeared at Dorchester Crown Court this morning.
Akers, 60, of Weymouth, spoke only to confirm his name.
His barrister entered not guilty pleas on his behalf.
He will appear for trial at Bournemouth Crown Court on December 19.
