WE'VE had a request from a former local resident who now lives Down Under to see if anyone can shed some light upon this photo of a Weymouth choir.

Ray Ironside, who was born and brought up in Weymouth but has lived in Australia for many years, is pictured on the far left of the middle row in this photo of the All Saints Church choir, which dates back to about 1960.

With the help of Lorraine Paddison, Ray has been trying to fill in the other names. They believe the photo also features Alan Palmer as the next but one singer to Ray.

Billy Northey is fourth along from the left on the middle row. Jimmy Bailey is seventh from left in the middle row. Malcolm Lowe is in the front row third from the left and behind him is thought to be a Neil Hambling, although Ray and Lorraine aren't sure of the surname.

Many generations of former pupils from Wyke schools will recognise Peter Cainey the music teacher in the back row on the far left and the Reverend Canon Pratt on the far right in the front row. Mrs Miles is in the back row.

If ant readers can fill in some of the other gaps and provide news of what has happened to these (angelic!) choirboys, they should get in touch with Lorraine on 0771 4291165.
