A shed went up in flames last night in a fire in Wyke Road.

Firefighters were called to an incident just after 9pm after a shed caught fire.

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We received the initial call at 9.39pm and both Weymouth fire engines attended."

They added the fire was at an out building which was a shed like structure that was 3m by 3m.

"The shed was completely destroyed by the fire which spread to nearby fence panels.

"We use two breathing apparatus and two main lines to extinguish the fire and crews remained afterwards to check the area and damp it down," the spokesman said.

Luckily nobody was injured.
