POLICE are searching for a 37-year-old man on suspicion of an alleged assault in Dorset.

Officers are investigating an alleged assault in Poole and have released a picture of the suspect, called Adam Baczynski.

The incident took place on Tuesday, April 28 at around 1pm at an address in the Melbury Avenue area.

Dorset Police state that the victim, a local woman in her 30s, sustained injuries to her head, face and legs. The offender was known to the victim.

Baczynski, originally from Poland, is described as tall and of big build.

Police Constable Craig Tiernan of Poole Police, said: “We are releasing this photo in hope that someone will know, or may have seen, where Mr Baczynski is.

“We believe that he is still in the county, possibly in the Poole and Bournemouth area.

“While we are not encouraging people to approach Mr Baczynski, we want to reassure them that we have no reason to believe that he’s a threat to the general public.

“I would encourage anyone who has any information regarding his whereabouts to contact Dorset Police in confidence.

“I am also appealing directly to Mr Baczynski to make contact with us immediately.”
