A WOMAN has suffered facial injuries in a suspected fall in Weymouth town centre.

The street was initially blocked but it is now clear.

South Western Ambulance Service is currently at the scene.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said: "We received the call at 9.41am to reports that a woman had fallen in Weymouth town centre.

"She has suffered facial injuries at the moment.

"It is not yet known at this time how serious the injuries are, or whether she will be taken into hospital."

First Dorset tweeted that the road is closed by police and bus services three, six and eight are diverting via Harbour Slipway, Commercial Road and West Bay Road.
