A cyclist has been seriously injured in a hit and run.
Police were called to Poole Road, Bournemouth, at 4.45am.
The incident happened at the junction of Queens Road and Poole Road, near Westbourne, a spokesperson for Dorset Police said.
The road was closed until just before 10am to allow investigators to examine the scene.
The cyclist has been taken to hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A damaged bike is within the cordon.
