I am sorry to say it, but I am a cyclist. I am also a pet owner.
The arrogance of some of the so-called cyclists who use the Rodwell Trail, mainly at weekends, is unbelievable.
This morning a couple, done up to the nines with all the clobber, nearly collided with a man and his dog.
Words were exchanged. No warning was given to the dog owner and, as usual, the couple were travelling at speed.
Last month a couple’s labrador dog was injured, not only incurring pain to the animal, but a vet’s bill and anguish for its owner.
I may point out it is not the local cyclists who are just popping down the shop or for a pint, it’s the £1,000 bike and all of the kit brigade who for some reason think they have supreme right of way.
We should ban them all together for the safety of the majority.
