From one resident of a seaside resort (Southport) I would like to pass on my appreciation to the town of Weymouth after a visit on March 22 this year.

While awaiting the birth of my grandson, Jack Hayden Charles, myself and my wife entertained my granddaughter, Amelia in Weymouth while awaiting the call.

We found the beach to be clean the public toilets numerous and equally spotless.

The town was interesting to walk around with the benefit of lots of independent shops.

May I particularly give praise to the staff operating the park and ride.

They were very friendly and helpful and added to what turned out to be a wonderful day and a great visit.

We now have the addition of a Dorset-born grandson.
