The article about sitting out along the harbourside – this could be a good idea. The only issue is that the council warns people that at certain times of the day the pollution could be high due to vehicle fumes.
I experienced this with a friend when we decided to sit out at a café behind Marks and Spencer on the Esplanade. But we got the time totally wrong as Condor arrived and unloaded vehicles which caused a traffic jam and we got a face full of fumes.
My friend had to leave straight away due to her poor health. I do hope the council will warn people of this before someone sues them for bad health problems.
